Vehicle engulfed in flames on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge
The fire, which included intermittent explosions, caused heavy traffic on the bridge. The vehicle fire that occurred on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge was captured on camera.
In the evening hours, a fire broke out for an unknown reason in a vehicle traveling in the direction of Ankara.
Upon noticing the fire, the driver pulled the vehicle into the emergency lane and attempted to intervene with a fire extinguisher. Following reports from bystanders, police and fire crews were dispatched to the scene.
The fire, which engulfed the vehicle in a short time, caused intermittent explosions. Police teams, who took security measures in the area, completely closed the road to vehicle traffic in the same direction.
FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN A SHORT TIME
Fire crews, who had difficulty reaching the scene due to the resulting traffic, intervened in the burning vehicle. The fire was extinguished by the fire crews in a short time.
The car sustained extensive damage following the fire. After the vehicle was removed from the scene with the help of a tow truck, traffic flow returned to normal.
