Zamanın Adaleti is live: 550 million TL loan from Halkbank to Ayhan Bora Kaplan

"The one-man regime created a void in the state"

Speaking about the access ban imposed on journalist Timur Soykan's report titled '550 million TL loan from Halkbank to the mafia', Gültekin said regarding Timur Soykan's article on the 550 million TL loan from Halkbank to the mafia: "Society knows Sedat Peker through his revelations. This man disclosed 319 incidents similar to the Halkbank case. A group of writers including Timur Soykan wrote a book called 'Duvar' (The Wall), and they transcribed these revelations and allegations by Sedat Peker. We are not a society that reads books. The regime we call the one-man regime since 2018, meaning the concentration of the judiciary, the legislature, and the executive in a single hand, has actually created a huge void in the state."

"The mafia has seized the state"

Gültekin continued: "Didn't the AKP act together with the Fethullah Gülen community yesterday? Did they fill the void that emerged there with democracy, human rights, and the rules of criminal law? No, the mafia took that void. The mafia has seized the state, my friend. Let me give you examples of this; let's remember Timur Soykan, Murat Ağırel, Barış Pehlivan, and Barış Terkoğlu today. Because we are able to learn from them. May God be pleased with them. Didn't a Public Prosecutor in this country, in Adana, establish a drug gang, become a drug baron, and form a gang with police officers that stretched from Urfa to Antalya and Konya? A drug baron public prosecutor, and who are the gang members? These are police officers, friends, these are state officials. Didn't another one appear in the Anatolian Courthouse, my friend? Didn't that Public Prosecutor get caught while making deals with Iranian agents, coming together with a gang, and having Iranian dissidents captured here? Didn't he take thousands of dollars in bribes?"
