In Edirne, teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command captured a foreign national, L.V.V., who was attempting to cross into Greece in a 1st-degree military forbidden zone in the Meriç district.
An investigation revealed that L.V.V. was wanted by Interpol with a red notice for the crimes of 'homicide, serious obstruction of traffic, and premeditated armed resistance against police officers' in Belgium.
L.V.V., who has been taken into custody, is currently being processed by the gendarmerie.
