Wanted with a Red Notice: Organized crime leader Eric Schroeder captured

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on his X account that Eric Schroeder, the leader of an organized crime group wanted by Germany via an Interpol Red Notice, has been captured.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the "Kafes-25" (Cage-25) operations on his X account. Yerlikaya announced that Eric Schroeder, the leader of an organized crime group wanted by Germany via an Interpol Red Notice, has been captured. In his post, Yerlikaya stated: "Organized Crime Group Leader ERIC SCHROEDER, who was wanted by Germany via an Interpol Red Notice for 'Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes, Laundering Assets Derived from Crime, and Drug Trafficking,' was captured in Istanbul during the 'KAFES-25' operation." He further added the following:

"Regarding Eric Schroeder, who was captured in the Kafes-25 operation conducted by the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Division and Intelligence Branch, and who had an active Red Notice for his arrest:

It was determined that he managed drug trafficking in Hamburg,

He was wanted for establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes and laundering assets derived from crime,

He is accused by German authorities of trafficking 784 kg of marijuana and 154 kg of cocaine in a total of 24 separate incidents,

He was involved in a container robbery containing 1.1 tons of cocaine alongside members of the Hells Angels armed criminal organization,

He managed the European financial affairs and laundered money for an international drug trafficker named Joseph Johannes LEIJDEKKERS.

As a result of the operation;

41,850 Euros and 38,000 Turkish Liras,

4 Rolex brand wristwatches,

5 mobile phones and 3 SIM cards,

Passports and identity cards in different names belonging to the individual were seized."
