Warning for Istanbul
The latest forecast report published by the General Directorate of Meteorology reveals that snowy days are awaiting Istanbul once again.
The short-lived snowfall that affected some parts of Istanbul over the weekend was recorded as the first snowfall seen in November since 2016.
In Istanbul, where the first snow of the season generally falls from December onwards, it snowed in November after a long break. Following this precipitation, temperatures have begun to gradually rise to seasonal averages.
Although temperatures are expected to rise above seasonal norms starting Wednesday, another snowfall awaits Istanbul.
According to the map shared by the Meteorology office, snow will arrive on Sunday in Istanbul, which will begin a rainy week starting tomorrow.
On the map prepared for Sunday, the snow icon placed for many regions of the country is also present for Istanbul.
