Warning that 'the AKP is unaware': 'The footsteps of Mansur Yavaş can be heard everywhere'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's significant decline in voter support has also been acknowledged by Cem Küçük, one of the prominent columnists for the Türkiye newspaper, which is known for its proximity to the government.

In his column titled "Metropoll's survey and the footsteps of Mansur Yavaş," Küçük pointed out that economic problems remain the primary factor in Anatolia, stating that if an election were held today, the AKP would be the leading party, but the People's Alliance would not be able to secure a majority.

Stating that the political path followed by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is also viewed positively, Küçük wrote regarding the presidential elections: "We must be frank, Mansur Yavaş is ahead. If Erdoğan, Yavaş, and İmamoğlu were to compete, Erdoğan and Yavaş would remain for the second round. Under current conditions, Yavaş would win the election comfortably."

'THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE ME CAN GO OUT TO THE STREET AND TALK TO CITIZENS'

According to Küçük, if the presidential race were to take place between Ekrem İmamoğlu and Mansur Yavaş, Yavaş would still win. Küçük commented on this situation with the following words: "The public's interest in Mansur Yavaş is intense. The footsteps of Mansur Yavaş can be heard everywhere. Of course, it is still early, and many things could change. People see Mansur Yavaş as one of their own. They think, 'He does not complain like İmamoğlu. He does not fight with the government. He can manage the state.'"

Küçük concluded his column by saying: "I think the AK Party is still not very aware of what is being discussed on the streets. Take it from me. Even the strongest Erdoğan supporters say they would easily vote for Mansur Yavaş. İmamoğlu is from the Black Sea region, but if an election were held today, Mansur Yavaş would easily surpass İmamoğlu in that region. Those who do not believe me can go out to the street and talk to citizens."
