'We don't want Kılıçdaroğlu in Bodrum' campaign: 15 thousand signatures collected

In the Bodrum district of Muğla, the petition campaign organized under the title "We Don't Want Kılıçdaroğlu in Bodrum" has concluded. Within the scope of the campaign, 15 thousand signatures were collected in five days. The intense interest shown by vacationers coming to the district, especially during the summer season, drew attention. During hours when the air temperature reached 40 degrees, many people waited in line to sign.

PETITION CAMPAIGN BEGAN

Ayhan Karahan, the organizer of the petition campaign and spokesperson for the initiative, announced that the signatures collected would be delivered in person to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at the Republican People's Party (CHP) Headquarters on July 10. Karahan stated, "The petition campaign received great support both from Bodrum residents and citizens visiting Bodrum. The people of Bodrum do not like Kılıçdaroğlu, most of all because he is closed to change. This is already the most important reason for the conflict with Özgür Özel. Being closed to change and his conservative stubbornness brought about his lack of compatibility issues with the Erdoğan-Bahçeli line. Conservatism and traditionalism are also the feeders of vindictiveness."

In his statement, Karahan also emphasized that today was the last day of the signature stand, that they had collected nearly 15 thousand signatures so far, and that these signatures would not be delivered by mail or any other intermediary, but directly to Kılıçdaroğlu. He added, "These signatures are not just signatures. People poured their hearts out onto these A4 papers. They want to confront him. We will take these signatures as messengers and spokespeople. The owner of these signatures is Bodrum. There is practically a state of emergency in Ankara due to the NATO summit. The state of emergency will be lifted on the night of July 10. We will also set off towards the CHP Headquarters that night. On July 10, we will all witness a historical moment in Bodrum together."
