Weather in Istanbul is changing suddenly: AKOM issued a warning

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) warned in an information note that weather conditions in the city will change suddenly. Temperatures, which are currently hovering between 22 and 24 degrees, are expected to decrease significantly starting from the evening hours.

SHARP CHANGES IN WEATHER

In the statement made by AKOM, it is stated that partly cloudy skies will be effective in the coming days. It is noted that thunderstorms will be seen in places, especially at night and in the early hours of the morning. It was reported that temperatures will drop below seasonal norms.

It is emphasized that Thursday will be the day when the cool wave will be felt most intensely throughout the week. On this day, it is predicted that temperatures in the city will reach a maximum of 16 degrees, and strong downpours ranging from 3 to 7 kilograms will be effective across the city.

WARMING UP AGAIN ON THE WAY

On the other hand, it is stated that the precipitation will leave the region starting from Friday and air temperatures will rise again to over 20 degrees. Authorities called on citizens to review their plans and be careful when going out against the risks of sudden temperature drops.

It is advised that those who will be in open areas and those who will be in traffic should be prepared for precipitation and cool weather against these weather changes that may occur in a short time.
