The incident occurred around 01:00 on the D-100 Highway in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul, in the direction of Pendik.

Allegedly, the driver of the vehicle with license plate 34 DLH 611, whose name could not be learned, was weaving through traffic when he first struck a vehicle with license plate 34 FRV 124 that was traveling in the right lane. The impact caused the vehicle to flip and land on a motorcycle with license plate 34 EDZ 672, operated by Hilmi Amoca, which was also traveling ahead.

FLED THE ACCIDENT SCENE AND SENT SOMEONE ELSE

The vehicle with license plate 34 DLH 611 continued to flip and skidded for about 20 meters before coming to a stop. While the motorcycle rider was seriously injured in the accident, the driver of the vehicle that flipped fled the scene. Other drivers in the area notified emergency services. Upon notification, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

MOTORCYCLE RIDER SERIOUSLY INJURED

Medical teams arriving at the scene performed CPR on the seriously injured motorcycle rider before transporting him to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital, while police teams launched an investigation into the incident.

"MY BROTHER DECEIVED ME"

The driver of the vehicle with license plate 34 DLH 611, who caused the accident and fled the scene, sent his brother to the scene to take the blame for the accident. He told the police teams that he was the one who caused the accident. Through their investigation, police teams confronted Yasin Doğan, who claimed to be the brother, with eyewitnesses. When eyewitnesses stated that he was not the driver who caused the accident, police teams handcuffed Yasin Doğan at the scene and took him into custody.

Unable to answer questions about 'why did you lie' while being placed into the police vehicle, Yasin Doğan said, "My brother deceived me; he said he had a small accident, but he lied to me."
