Went to the hospital for an examination, was dropped from a stretcher. He lost his life

On March 15, Muharrem D., who was an inpatient at the internal medicine clinic of a hospital in Yenimahalle, was being taken to an eye examination on a stretcher accompanied by orderlies.

THEY DROPPED HIM FROM THE STRETCHER WHILE ADJUSTING IT

The patient fell from the stretcher while the orderlies accompanying him, Bayram S. and İsa K., along with nurse Satı T., were adjusting the stretcher's settings.

Health personnel determined that Muharrem D., who fell headfirst, had suffered a brain hemorrhage.

The patient was admitted to the intensive care unit but lost his 5-day battle for life despite all medical interventions.

SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE HAS ALSO BEEN ADDED TO THE INVESTIGATION FILE

Following the patient's death, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against orderlies Bayram S. and İsa K., as well as nurse Satı T., for the crime of "causing death by negligence."

Security camera footage of the moment Muharrem D. fell from the stretcher has also been added to the investigation file.

The footage shows the moment the stretcher, with the patient on it, suddenly collapsed while the orderlies were adjusting its settings, and the moments when those waiting for examinations and health personnel frantically tried to lift the patient from the floor.
