According to meteorological reports, local precipitation is expected on New Year's Eve in the coastal regions of Istanbul, Kocaeli, Çanakkale, Balıkesir, İzmir, Aydın, and Muğla. The impact of the precipitation is expected to increase on Tuesday, January 2, and is forecast to become widespread across the country in the following days of the week.
After a week without precipitation across Turkey, local rainfall is expected around Istanbul and İzmir on the last day of the year. Fog and mist are expected to be effective in the morning hours.

Precipitation, which will enter from the western regions on December 30, is estimated to be seen in places in the coastal parts of Istanbul, Kocaeli, Çanakkale, Balıkesir, İzmir, Aydın, and Muğla on December 31.
