Addressing Minister Göktaş, he directed his criticism at the government, saying, "Are you the Minister of Family for Belgium or for Turkey? While you travel from country to country abroad and visit shopkeepers in Brussels, the institution of the family in Turkey is struggling with increasingly severe problems every day." Şahin also reminded that the parliamentary question he submitted regarding Göktaş's foreign visits has yet to be answered, emphasizing that the Minister should focus more on her duties within her area of responsibility.
