CHP Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek was injured after suffering an electric shock at his home and was taken to the hospital. WHO IS FERDİ ZEYREK? 

Born in Manisa in 1977, Ferdi Zeyrek belongs to a deep-rooted Manisa family. His father is one of the tradesmen known in the city by the nickname “Tıraşçı Ahmet” (Barber Ahmet), and his mother is a housewife. Having completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown, Zeyrek graduated from the Uludağ University Department of Architecture after high school. After completing his military service, he stepped into professional life by establishing his own architecture and interior design office in Manisa.

Married to Nurcan Zeyrek in 2003, Ferdi Zeyrek has three daughters. Taking an active role in political life, Zeyrek served as both an executive and president at the Manisa Chamber of Architects for 7 years. In addition, he served as a member of the Manisa Union of Academic Chambers and the Manisaspor Board of Directors.

Zeyrek, who was a candidate for the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor from the Republican People's Party (CHP) in 2019, held positions such as CHP Manisa Provincial Chair, Şehzadeler Municipal Council Member, and Zoning Commission Member throughout his political career.

Elected as the Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality as the CHP candidate in the March 31, 2024 Local Administration Elections, Ferdi Zeyrek began his term with the goal of implementing important projects for the city.
