Wide-ranging operation against IMM: Here is the full list of those detained!

The operation launched against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) in the morning hours has hit the Turkish agenda like a bombshell. As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention warrants were issued for a total of 106 people, primarily IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

CASH COUNTING FOOTAGE CITED AS REASON

It was stated that the investigation was initiated in line with a report prepared by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) following the cash counting footage that had previously appeared in the press. As part of the operation, a search was conducted at İmamoğlu's home in Beylikdüzü.

Among those detained are İmamoğlu's advisor Murat Ongun, Deputy Secretary General of the IMM Mahir Polat, campaign director Necati Şahin, Head of the Istanbul Planning Agency Buğra Gökce, Mayor of Şişli Resul Emrah Şahan, Mayor of Beylikdüzü Murat Çalık, and President of the Reform Institute Mehmet Ali Çalışkan.

TERROR INVESTIGATION ALSO LAUNCHED

In addition to the investigation, a second investigation is being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office under the name of "urban consensus." In this context, detention warrants were issued for 7 people, including İmamoğlu, on charges of "aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization."
