Will the Sinan Ateş murder be discussed during Erdoğan's visit to the CHP?

Stating that the CHP is against the "Turkey Century Education Model," Yücel expressed that this new system eliminates free thought, questioning, interpretation, and the ability to reason.

Expressing that tables were not the same as they used to be during the Eid al-Adha and that citizens could not make their holiday visits as they wished, Yücel said that when a family of 4 wants to travel to their hometown, the price of a round-trip bus ticket is more than a retiree's pension.

Noting that the price of everything from chocolate to sugar, baklava to coffee has increased 3-fold compared to the last Eid al-Adha, but that salaries have not increased 3-fold in this process, Yücel said, "We have been saying it for months; retirement pensions, holiday bonuses, the minimum wage, and student loans and scholarships must be raised to reasonable levels."

Criticizing the appointment of a trustee to the Hakkari Municipality, Yücel argued that the practice is contrary to the constitution and democracy.

Stating that an additional 40 percent tax will be imposed on automobiles of all fuel types imported from China, Yücel said the following:

"Our trade volume with China is over 48 billion dollars, but the foreign trade deficit we have against China is 45 billion dollars. In the last 10 years, we have exported 33.5 billion dollars to China, from which we have imported 307 billion dollars. The deficit we have had in trade with China alone in the last 10 years is over 273 billion dollars.

If you want to balance trade with China, which has long been described as the world's factory, you must make more qualified production and technological breakthroughs. You should spend the money you spend on luxury official vehicles and palaces on R&D studies."

"WE DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO BE A VICTIM"

Deniz Yücel argued that thousands of farmers have had to stop producing due to wrong agricultural policies and that millions of hectares of agricultural land have become uncultivable, claiming that Turkey has become an importer of the most basic food items.

Noting that the 2024 grain purchase prices announced by the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) will further accelerate the regression in agriculture, Yücel said, "Prices below cost must be urgently revised. The price per kilogram of wheat should be updated to at least 15 liras. If this announced price is not increased, our farmers cannot earn the income to make a living from wheat. After a while, the consumer will be a victim just like the wheat producer. We do not want anyone to be a victim."

Regarding the question of "whether issues related to Sinan Ateş, the former President of the Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) who was killed in Ankara, will come to the agenda during the return visit that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay to the CHP," Yücel stated the following:

"The President's visit tomorrow, the meeting he will have with our Chairman, is a return visit. Our Chairman's offer and proposal to visit were accepted by our President, and they came together. They held discussions on certain topics. 

Since tomorrow's visit will be a return visit, I do not want to make a comment like 'They will discuss this, they will discuss that.' Of course, one of the main goals of these meetings, these relations, and this dialogue is the normalization of the country.

It may be possible to talk about or discuss a case that concerns the Turkish society, politics, and agenda so closely, so that the country's legal system and democracy can return to the scale and setting they should be."
