People's Alliance and AKP Ankara Metropolitan Mayoral Candidate Turgut Altınok made statements regarding pensions. Altınok stated that he had discussed the pension 'improvement' with President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Stating that Erdoğan is aware of the grievances of retirees, Altınok said the following:

"We are providing all kinds of support to our retirees. As you know, the Turkish Grand National Assembly is currently in recess, and decisions regarding retirees are made in Parliament. I spoke with our President; an improvement will be made regarding retirees according to budget possibilities.

We have been with our President for the past two days. Again, if anyone can solve it, President Erdoğan will solve it. We discussed the situation; he is aware of the events. We will not leave any of our retirees in Ankara in a difficult situation.

5,000 TL SUPPORT FOR RETIREES

Mansur Yavaş gives 1,000 TL to retirees. We will deposit 5,000 TL into their accounts on April 15. Mansur Yavaş provides 500 TL in natural gas support. We are extending this to 4 months and will provide 1,000 lira."
