Yapıcıoğlu asks Özgür Özel via social media: 'The exam duration is 72 hours'

Yapıcıoğlu asks Özgür Özel via social media: 'The exam duration is 72 hours'

HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, a member of the People's Alliance who stated, "We are against Article 4 of the Constitution, it should be removed," responded to the criticisms directed at him by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

Quoting Özgür Özel on social media, Yapıcıoğlu used the following expressions:

"Mr. Özgür!

I am going to ask you a question. If you struggle, cheating is allowed. But if you ask the incompetent people around you, they might make you get it wrong.

The question is:

"Nationalism, Populism, Statism, Secularism, Reformism are the main principles of the CHP... We will remove these 6 principles, which were inserted into the Constitution as a requirement of the single-party era, from the Constitution." In which party's election manifesto did these sentences appear?

The exam duration, commensurate with the difficulty of the question, is 72 hours."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu made a statement regarding Article 4 of the Constitution during a TV program he attended on September 12, saying: "I said it one by one as if explaining to a fool, yet they insist on not understanding. We are saying that Article 4 of the Constitution should not exist. Let me look at the camera and say it again. We are saying that Article 4 of the Constitution should not exist. Having unchangeable articles in the Constitution does not mean that we should change all the articles you call unchangeable. We are against Article 4 of the Constitution. Okay, did you understand? Article 4 is a mortgage on the will of future generations. Let's sit down and write the other articles together. Not the first 4 articles, but Article 4."

Özel had stated, "I have no words for HÜDA PAR. You cannot hold a microbe accountable for why it causes disease. A microbe is a microbe. But those who say they are nationalist-conservative... Especially when Tayyip Bey has HÜDA PAR on his right arm and Devlet Bahçeli on his other arm. What do you say to this HÜDA PAR, Mr. Devlet? Who is with whom?"

In a post on his social media account, Özel said, "Those who exploit national and religious feelings by saying homeland, nation, and adhan while collecting votes are now patting the back of HÜDA PAR, which is against our flag, our National Anthem, and Ankara being the capital city."
