Yılmaz and Rodriguez emphasize cooperation between Turkey and Venezuela
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, in his meeting with Venezuelan Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in trade, education, and culture. Yılmaz also congratulated Maduro on his re-election as president.
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz met with Venezuelan Executive Vice President and Minister of Petroleum Delcy Rodriguez at the Presidential Complex. During the meeting, regional and global issues were discussed, as well as opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, culture, and trade.
Yılmaz congratulated Nicolas Maduro on his re-election as President in the elections held in Venezuela on July 28. Emphasizing that the trade volume between the two countries should be increased to 3 billion dollars, Yılmaz also drew attention to the importance of increasing cooperation in the fields of energy and tourism.
Furthermore, Yılmaz praised Venezuela's stance against Israeli attacks and stated that the country has the capacity to resolve its problems through dialogue.
Rodriguez, for her part, emphasized the valuable relationship between Turkey and Venezuela and invited Yılmaz to Venezuela to increase opportunities for cooperation.
