Young woman who went missing in Adana found stabbed to death and dumped in dam
The lifeless body of a 24-year-old woman, who had been missing for days in Tufanbeyli, was found in the Kürebeli Dam; an examination revealed multiple stab wounds on her body.
Bahar Aksüt, a 24-year-old living in the Tufanbeyli district of Adana, had gone missing nine days ago. While her relatives, concerned about her fate, reported the situation to the authorities and search efforts were underway, a tragic development occurred today.
Citizens who went to the Kürebeli Dam to take photographs noticed a woman's body on the surface of the water. Following the report, gendarmerie teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. During the examination conducted by the teams, it was determined that the woman, who had eight separate stab wounds on her body, was the subject of an identification process.
As a result of the work carried out in a short time, it was determined that the unidentified body belonged to Bahar Aksüt, who worked at a nightclub in the Tufanbeyli district. It was learned that no identification documents were found on Aksüt.
Following the crime scene investigation, the young woman's body was sent to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death. The gendarmerie has launched a large-scale investigation to apprehend the suspect or suspects involved in the unsolved murder.
