YRP neighborhood head shot and killed in debt dispute

A shooting that occurred last night in the Adaköy neighborhood of Konya's Beyşehir district has resulted in the death of a prominent figure from the Yeniden Refah Party. It was learned that Necati Sandal, who operated a rifle workshop in the Huğlu neighborhood and also served as the party's neighborhood head, had allegedly been arguing with a group over various debt-related issues.

As the argument escalated, one person opened fire with a rifle as Sandal attempted to walk away. Sandal, who was critically wounded after being struck in the back, was transported to Beyşehir State Hospital by medical and gendarmerie teams who arrived at the scene. However, he passed away despite all medical interventions.

Following the incident, the gendarmerie detained three individuals based on evidence at the scene and witness statements. It was announced that the investigation is being conducted meticulously.

Yeniden Refah Party Beyşehir District Chairman Muhittin Kazan stated in a post on his social media account, “Our Yeniden Refah Party Huğlu Neighborhood Head, our valued colleague Necati Sandal, has passed away. We wish God's mercy upon the deceased; we extend our condolences to his family, loved ones, and our entire organization.”
