Yunus police officer loses life in traffic accident in Antalya
Yunus police officer Cuma Şimşek has lost his life after a motorcycle accident in the Kumluca district of Antalya. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on the 7th kilometer of the Kumluca-Antalya road in the Kumluca district. According to the information obtained, Cuma Şimşek, who served as a Yunus police officer at the Antalya Police Department, lost control of his motorcycle with license plate 07 BYN 541 while traveling from the direction of Kumluca toward Antalya. Şimşek fell from his motorcycle, slid along the road, and struck the barriers, while the motorcycle caught fire.
Following the accident, health, gendarmerie, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon examination by the medical teams, it was determined that Şimşek had lost his life. The investigation revealed that he was wearing his helmet at the time of the accident.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
