Zamanın Adaleti is live: Atty. Dr. Ruşen Gültekin: "The President wants this constitutional amendment to be elected for a 4th term..."
Atty. Dr. Ruşen Gültekin spoke about the new constitutional preparations brought to the agenda by the government on the 'Zamanın Adaleti' program. Gültekin stated, "The President currently does not have the authority to be elected with 50+1, so he will bargain with the CHP and the DEM to see if he can lower it to 40+1. Why is he going to the DEM? Wasn't the DEM a terrorist?"
Atty. Dr. Ruşen Gültekin spoke about the new constitutional preparations brought to the agenda by the government on the 'Zamanın Adaleti' program.
'Wasn't the DEM a terrorist according to the AKP?'
Stating that "there is sufficient consensus in society regarding how the AKP does not comply with the constitution in the constitutional amendments it makes," Gültekin said, "Since the AKP came to power, it has done its best not to recognize the constitution; at first, it did this with dissimulation, it acted as if it recognized it because it needed to appear democratic at that time. As it became more authoritarian, it moved away from being a constitutional state, from respecting the rule of law, and from judicial independence. The President currently does not have the authority to be elected with 50+1, so he will bargain with the CHP and the DEM to see if he can lower it to 40+1. Why is he going to the DEM? Wasn't the DEM a terrorist?"
'STRAY ANIMALS BECAME THE AGENDA WHEN THE CHP CAME IN FIRST'
Speaking about the AKP's preparation of a draft law on stray animals, Gültekin said, "The basis of the draft law on stray animals is to prevent talk about retirees. As always, the structure that manages perception wants to make us talk about stray animals. Let no one talk about these, let us make a constitution. Don't you see the retirees, workers, and civil servants queuing up in this country because they want to buy cheap meat? Aren't there still camera images of aunts collecting bread from the trash and trying to collect leftovers at the market? Therefore, the issue is actually not the issue of stray animals. You have been in power for 23 years, you wrote articles before this, you passed laws before this; if you had such an intention, it is as if these 4 million stray dogs fell from the sky. 100 people have been injured in the last 5 years. There are also very serious injuries. When the Republican People's Party came out as the first party, stray animals became our agenda. Of course, we are far behind civilized countries regarding our animals. Of course, they should be neutered."
'THE SYRIAN GATE IS OPEN, THE EUROPEAN GATE IS CLOSED'
Stating that Turkey implements an open-door policy for immigrants, Gültekin said, "Those who come to us are invaders. They come without any control; didn't our government say that not a single invader is entering this country? We are currently implementing an open-door policy. We have two policies, this is the reason for this concern. We are not closing the door. Can there be such a thing as an open-door policy? The Syrian gate is open, the Iraqi gate is open, the Iranian gate is open, all our gates are open, the European gates are closed; we have made an agreement with Europe, the gate is such that they enter from us, there is the other gate, we made an agreement called the readmission agreement in 2011 and we said that we will not send any invaders, asylum seekers, or immigrants to you, we take them all, but you send us money."
