Zeynep Nas Sarıkaya, struck by an 18-year-old unlicensed driver, loses her battle for life
16-year-old Zeynep Nas Sarıkaya, who was struck by an 18-year-old unlicensed driver in Bursa, has lost her life.
In an accident that occurred on October 11 in the Nilüfer district of Bursa, Efe Ş. (18), who was driving a luxury pick-up truck belonging to his father, allegedly stepped on the gas to avoid being caught by a red light.
During this time, the driver struck 16-year-old Zeynep Nas Sarıkaya, who was attempting to cross the street. Sarıkaya was thrown by the impact and sustained serious injuries, while the driver fled the scene. Bystanders rushed to help the injured Sarıkaya and contacted 112 emergency services. Sarıkaya, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition by medical teams, was placed under treatment at a private hospital.
LOST HER LIFE
16-year-old Zeynep Nas Sarıkaya, who was under treatment at a private hospital following the accident, was able to hold on to life for one week and passed away early this morning.
Sarıkaya’s funeral will be held at Hasköy Cemetery.
