165 percent hike in exam fees!
The Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) has increased exam fees by 165 percent. With this hike, the fee for the 3 sessions of the 2024 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) will exceed 800 TL.
CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut announced in a social media post that ÖSYM has increased exam fees by 165 percent. Bulut stated that for the 2024 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), the fee for 3 sessions will exceed 800 TL.
Bulut said the following in his post:
“Taking ÖSYM exams has also become a luxury. Those who deem a 49.25 percent raise appropriate for civil servants have hiked ÖSYM exam fees by 165 percent. In YKS 2024, the fee for 3 sessions will exceed 800 TL!”
