2023 was the 'golden' year for investment funds

2023 was a significant year in terms of increasing demand for capital markets. Demand for capital market products, including stocks, investment funds, and private pension funds, has increased.

Increased investor participation, the diversification of funds, and the growth of portfolios through liquidity inflows were among the key factors in the appreciation of investment funds and private pension funds.

On the other hand, the improvements in Turkey's credit rating outlook by both Fitch Ratings and Standard & Poor's (S&P) also supported investors' shift toward Turkish Lira assets.

While the downward trend in Turkey's 5-year credit default swap (CDS) premium positively affected capital markets, the policies implemented by the new economic management following the elections and meetings held with foreign investors were also of great importance in attracting foreign investors to the capital markets.
