2024 scholarship and loan amounts announced

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the news students were eagerly awaiting in a statement following the Cabinet meeting. Erdoğan announced that they have increased the 2024 loan and scholarship figures to 2 thousand liras for undergraduate students, 4 thousand liras for master's students, and 6 thousand liras for doctoral students. 

Erdoğan also announced that interest-free loans between 200 and 750 thousand liras will be provided per business in the earthquake zone.

Making a statement after the Cabinet meeting, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan used the following expressions;

We continue to strengthen and grow the Turkish economy. We will share the Medium-Term Program with the public at the beginning of September. We will put the 12th Development Plan into effect after the parliamentary deliberations are completed.

The most important feature of the prepared plan is that it sheds light on the 2053 vision. We are thinking 30 years ahead and setting our goals. We will place Turkey among the world's top 5 economies.

LOAN and SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS

Loans and scholarships are increasing in 2024. I am announcing the figures we will pay next year to our 1 million 600 thousand students who receive loans or scholarships. In 2024, we are increasing the amounts from 1 thousand 250 liras to 2 thousand liras for undergraduate students, from 2 thousand 500 liras to 4 thousand liras for master's students, and from 3 thousand 750 liras to 6 thousand liras for doctoral students. I wish the new loan and scholarship amounts to be beneficial to all students.

Announcing the new figures on his social media account as well, Erdoğan used the expressions, "We have determined the amount we will pay next year to our 1 million 600 thousand students who receive loans or scholarships from our Ministry of Youth and Sports. May the new loan and scholarship amounts be beneficial to all our students."

INTEREST-FREE LOAN FOR THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan also said, "The construction of 200 thousand houses is rapidly continuing in our 11 provinces affected by the disaster. We are starting to deliver the completed houses in stages soon. We plan to deliver 41 thousand houses and 5 thousand village houses by the end of the year. We will also carry out the deliveries of other houses gradually. We are putting a new loan package into effect for SMEs in the earthquake zone through KOSGEB. We will provide interest-free loans between 200 and 750 thousand liras per business."
