A strategic step for Turkey's automotive industry: A new production era has begun

Renault Group has taken its first step in Turkey within the scope of its International Game Plan 2027, beginning production of the Duster model at the Bursa Oyak Renault Automobile Factories. Considered a significant initiative for the Turkish automotive industry, this step is part of Renault's strategy to increase production capacity by utilizing its industrial infrastructure in Turkey.

The Duster, which has sold more than 1.7 million units worldwide to date, is being produced and offered for sale under the Renault brand in Turkey. The production of this model is being carried out thanks to modernization and digitalization efforts at the Bursa factory. Artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance systems, and technologies aimed at reducing the carbon footprint are being used in production.

Renault Group Turkey CEO Jan Ptacek stated that Turkey is a strategic market for Renault and that the Bursa factory plays a critical role for both domestic production and exports. Within the scope of the plan, the start of production for four new models in Turkey is envisioned by 2027. Additionally, a transition to hybrid engine production is planned for the first half of 2025.

MAİS General Manager Dr. Berk Çağdaş expressed that the production of the Duster in Turkey is an important development for the local automotive industry and consumers. It was stated that this initiative, which supports Turkey's industrial and economic potential, aims to increase local production and make Oyak Renault an international production hub.

The Oyak Renault Factory in Bursa is focusing on digitalization by being modernized in accordance with Renault's global standards. This production process, supported by innovative technologies, provides a significant transformation in terms of both efficiency and environmental sustainability.
