According to TÜİK data, the agricultural input price index (Agriculture-IPI) increased by 40.11 percent annually and 2.06 percent monthly in October.

According to TÜİK data, the agricultural input price index increased by 40.11 percent annually and 2.06 percent monthly in October

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Agricultural Input Price Index for October. Accordingly, the Agriculture-IPI saw an increase of 2.06 percent compared to the previous month, 35.87 percent compared to December of the previous year, 40.11 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and 51.53 percent based on twelve-month averages.
In the main groups, compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 1.95 percent in the index for goods and services used in agriculture, and an increase of 2.74 percent in the index for goods and services contributing to agricultural investment. Compared to the same month of the previous year, there was an increase of 35.28 percent in the index for goods and services used in agriculture, and an increase of 77.01 percent in the index for goods and services contributing to agricultural investment.
According to the annual Agriculture-IPI, 4 subgroups showed lower and 7 subgroups showed higher changes
The subgroups with the lowest annual increases compared to the same month of the previous year were fertilizers and soil improvers at 10.24 percent, and agricultural chemicals at 25.41 percent. The subgroups with the highest annual increases were veterinary expenses at 123.88 percent and other goods and services at 95.88 percent, respectively.
According to the monthly Agriculture-IPI, 3 subgroups showed lower and 8 subgroups showed higher changes
The subgroups with the lowest monthly increases compared to the previous month were animal feed at 0.92 percent and agricultural chemicals at 1.70 percent, respectively. Conversely, the subgroups with the highest monthly increases were veterinary expenses at 9.69 percent and other goods and services at 4.38 percent, respectively. The only subgroup that showed a decrease compared to the previous month was fertilizers and soil improvers at 0.74 percent.
