All eyes on that date: If the Central Bank's forecast holds, the retiree raise rate is clear
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) has published the results of its June Market Participants Survey, which it conducts regularly every month. According to the forecasts of 69 participants from the economic world, June inflation is estimated to be at the 1.61 percent level. If this expectation is confirmed, the July raise for retirees will also be clarified.
Across Türkiye, more than 16 million retirees have turned their eyes and ears to the inflation figures that the TUIK will announce on July 3.
With the data to be announced, the raise rate that SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive in July will be clarified.
As it will be recalled, last month TUIK announced monthly inflation as 1.53 percent. With this data, retirees had become entitled to receive an inflation difference of 15.1 percent for the first five months of the year.
IF THE CENTRAL BANK'S FORECAST HOLDS, THE RAISE RATE IS 17 PERCENT
In addition to these developments, the June results of the Market Participants Survey organized by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) were also shared with the public. In the survey, which was prepared with the participation of 69 experts in total, including 52 from financial sector representatives and 17 from real sector representatives, it was predicted that June inflation would be 1.61 percent.
If this forecast turns into reality, SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive a raise of around 17 percent in July.
On the other hand, the raise rate to be determined for civil servants and civil servant retirees will be determined by taking into account the inflation rate to be announced on July 3 as well as the difference arising from the collective bargaining agreement.
