April inflation in Istanbul has been announced
In April, retail prices in Istanbul rose by 3.74 percent, while annual inflation reached 36.83 percent.

According to data calculated by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce based on the 1995 Wage Earners' Cost of Living Index, retail prices in the city increased by 3.74 percent compared to the previous month. This increase indicates that prices for essential consumer spending items continued their upward trend in April.
Furthermore, the annual price increase rate in Istanbul has also been clarified. Compared to April 2025, retail prices in April 2026 rose by 36.83 percent. Thus, prices in Istanbul have seen a significant increase over the past year.
Experts point out that the increases in essential spending items are effective in this rise in inflation. Consumers, on the other hand, are forced to manage their budgets more carefully in the face of rising prices.
