Despite the sharp downward trend in recent weeks, one of the global investment world's prominent institutions has brought record levels in the gold market to the agenda. According to the assessment, high purchases by central banks and strong investor interest increase the possibility of a new peak in the ounce price of gold before the year ends.

As gold continues to fall, a major US bank makes a wild prediction! Here is the figure projected for year-end

Despite the rapid decline in gold prices in the recent period, one of the major players in the financial world has highlighted a hopeful outlook for gold. Although gold per ounce has recovered slightly in global markets in recent days, it fell to as low as 4,536.72 dollars at the beginning of the week, marking a 6.5 percent decline.

In the analysis published by the bank, it was emphasized that despite short-term volatility, gold will maintain its positive trend in the medium term. According to the analysis, the tendency of central banks to diversify reserves and intense interest from investors are thought to pave the way for a rise in prices up to 6,300 dollars by the end of the year.

In the current economic environment, the view that tangible assets are more stable compared to paper assets draws attention. While the bank reported that central banks are expected to purchase a total of approximately 800 tons of gold throughout 2026, it stated that this will continue to provide significant support to the gold market.

The silver market, on the other hand, has more cautious expectations compared to gold. In the assessment, it was stated that the rise in silver since December has stalled and its movement around 80 dollars has lost its clarity. On the first day of the week, spot silver fell below 72 dollars and finished Friday at its lowest level in the last month. Silver, which previously hit a record high of 121.64 dollars on Thursday, could not sustain this momentum.

According to the institution's assessment, since central banks are not constant buyers in silver as they are in gold, there is a risk of a renewed rise in the gold-silver ratio in the coming period. Nevertheless, the analysis emphasized that the price floor for silver has formed in the 75–80 dollar range and the probability of prices losing all their gains is low.
