Attention vehicle owners: Midnight price cut for diesel

With changes in Brent crude oil prices and foreign exchange rates, citizens continue to monitor gasoline and diesel prices. Following two recent price cuts stemming from international prices and an announcement by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), another discount has been applied to diesel after several days. As of midnight, prices have dropped by an additional 1 lira and 35 kuruş.

CURRENT LITER PRICE OF DIESEL

With the 1 lira and 35 kuruş discount, the price per liter of diesel has become 40 lira and 7 kuruş in Istanbul, and 41 lira and 46 kuruş in Ankara.

GASOLINE AND DIESEL WERE LAST DISCOUNTED RECENTLY

In his statement regarding fuel prices on February 20, EPDK President Mustafa Yılmaz said, "We expect refineries to take the necessary steps quickly and update the margin rate in line with the letter we sent. As a result of the update to be made, there will be a discount of 1 to 1.5 TL on gasoline and diesel." Two days after Yılmaz's statement, a discount of 76 kuruş was applied to gasoline and 2 lira and 10 kuruş to diesel.
