Automobile sales increased by 78% in September

In the Turkish automobile and light commercial vehicle market, the brands with the highest sales in September were Fiat, Renault, and Ford, respectively.

Automobile sales increased by 78% in September

According to data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), sales of automobiles and light commercial vehicles last month increased by 55.9 percent compared to September 2022, reaching 96 thousand 793 units.


In September, automobile sales increased by 76.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 78 thousand 971 units, while light commercial vehicle sales increased by 2.4 percent to 17 thousand 822 units.


Last month, Fiat took the top spot in total sales, including passenger and light commercial vehicles, with 15 thousand 537 units. Fiat was followed by Renault with 11 thousand 714 units and Ford with 7 thousand 23 units.


Volkswagen ranked fourth with 6 thousand 89 sales, and Chery ranked fifth with 5 thousand 636 sales.


AUTOMOBILE SALES

The brand with the highest automobile sales in September was Fiat with 11 thousand 722 units. Fiat was followed by Renault with 9 thousand 756 sales and Chery with 5 thousand 636 sales.


Volkswagen ranked fourth with 4 thousand 857 sales, while Tesla ranked fifth with 4 thousand 700 automobile sales.


2 THOUSAND 204 TOGG VEHICLES DELIVERED IN SEPTEMBER

With the inclusion of Tesla in the ODMD brand list, the number of brands rose to 49. Sales were made from all brands except Smart last month.


Togg deliveries for September reached 2 thousand 204 units. In the luxury automobile group, 85 Porsche, 28 Maserati, 30 Lexus, 5 Jaguar, 4 Bentley, 2 Aston Martin, and 1 Ferrari were sold in September.


TOP 5 IN LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES

Looking at the light commercial vehicle segment, Ford topped the list last month with 4 thousand 508 sales. Ford was followed by Fiat with 3 thousand 815 sales and Renault with 1958 sales.


Volkswagen ranked fourth with 1232 sales and Peugeot ranked fifth with 1159 sales.
