Average price per square meter for housing in Istanbul has increased
The average price per square meter for housing across Turkey has risen to 27 thousand 840 liras. This figure is 41 thousand 766 liras in Istanbul.
The Association of Real Estate Investors has published its Turkey Real Estate Sector 3rd quarter report.
The report also included information on housing prices in Turkey and Istanbul.
The following statements were included in the report regarding housing prices:
“Due to strong demand and efforts to escape inflationary trends, there has been a significant increase in housing prices. However, signs of a slowdown in this upward trend have begun to emerge.
In the data for August 2023 announced by the Central Bank; there was a nominal increase of 90.3 percent and a real increase of 21.9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The unit price per square meter across Turkey has reached 27 thousand 840 TL.
The highest price per square meter occurred in Istanbul, reaching 41 thousand 766 TL.”
