Biden: I believe 20 trucks will pass through the Rafah Border Crossing within 24 to 48 hours

As the 14th day of the Israel-Hamas conflict comes to an end, the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is growing by the day. Israel's cutting off of fuel, electricity, and water to the Gaza Strip, followed by its obstruction of humanitarian aid intended for the region, is making the situation even more difficult for Palestinians.

While the opening of the Rafah Border Crossing in Egypt is awaited for aid, US President Joe Biden made statements before his meeting at the White House with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel. Biden said, "I have received commitments from Israeli officials and the President of Egypt that the crossing will be open." Noting that the road to the border is in poor condition and needs to be paved, Biden stated, "I believe that 20 trucks will pass through the Rafah Border Crossing within 24 to 48 hours."
