Bitcoin remains near peak levels
Bitcoin is moving calmly today after testing the $42,000 level yesterday, remaining near its peak.
Bitcoin's market capitalization has reached $820 billion following the recent rally, while its dominance rate is hovering near the 55% threshold, continuing to trade at levels last seen in April 2021. After seeing a partial pullback to $41,500 today, Bitcoin began testing the $42,000 level again as demand remained strong during U.S. trading hours.
Currently, Bitcoin has reached a 12% value increase on a weekly basis, remaining among the top-performing cryptocurrencies in the top 20. Ethereum, the largest altcoin, has managed to maintain its $2,200 support despite a weaker performance today, and continues with an 8.5% value increase on a weekly basis.
3 ALTCOINS GAINED OVER 20% TODAY
While high gains continue among the top 100 cryptocurrencies today, the standout altcoins were Casper (CSPR), Pepe (PEPE), and Conflux (CFX). Among these altcoins, CSPR rose to $0.047 with a value increase in the 30% band. While PEPE saw a value increase of nearly 30% today, CFX is the 3rd highest-gaining altcoin with a 21% rise.
Looking at the weekly basis, ORDI, which rose nearly 20% today, is leading with a 142% value increase. It is followed by LUNC, which saw an 11% correction today but holds a 126% weekly value increase. Following these two altcoins, IOTA has an 82% weekly rise.
If we look at the altcoins in the top 100 that remained quiet over the last 7 days; DYDX, GAS, and ROSE, which saw partial declines, stand out. Among the 10 largest cryptocurrencies, XRP, BNB, and TRX have been the cryptocurrencies that remained flat in recent days.
Before U.S. trading hours, the total market capitalization was $1.54 trillion, while trading volume, despite a slight decline in the last hour, is moving at the $70 billion level.
