Bread price hike in that province: It will be sold for 8 liras...
In Iğdır, the price of bread has risen from 6.5 liras to 8 liras following the latest price hike.
In Iğdır, 200 grams of bread has started to be sold for 8 TL following the latest price hikes.
Bakers stated that raising prices was inevitable due to the excessive increases in the costs of flour, yeast, electricity, and other expenses.
'PRICE INCREASED, WEIGHT DECREASED'
A citizen shopping at a market in the city said, “Bread prices have increased, and we know that the weights have also decreased. A loaf of bread has become 8 liras. We cannot predict where bread prices will end up.” A person working at a bakery said, “Due to rising prices and costs, the price of bread has gone up to 8 liras. The bread is 200 grams, but it doesn't cover the costs. The citizens are right, we cannot say anything. When costs rise, a price hike becomes mandatory; there is nothing else to do.”
