Bread price increased to 10 TL in Samsun

The Samsun Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (SESOB) has updated bread prices in Samsun in line with a request. The weight of a loaf of bread, which was previously sold at 7.5 TL for 220 grams, has been increased to 250 grams, and its price has been set at 10 TL.

SESOB President Hacı Eyüb Güler stated that they had been selling bread below cost for a long time and that flour prices and other input costs had increased significantly, noting that this price hike would provide relief to bakers.

Samsun Bakers Chamber President Yılmaz Yiğit announced that the new price tariff will come into effect as of Saturday, January 27, and that from this date on, 250-gram loaves of bread will be offered for sale at 10 TL in Samsun and its districts.

With the updated price tariff, the prices of various types of bread in Samsun have been determined as follows:

250-gram baguette bread: 10 TL

Double loaf bread: 20 TL

500-gram tandoor bread: 20 TL

250-gram pıtıl bread: 10 TL

1 kilo 750-gram Black Sea bread: 70 TL

220-gram plain pita: 10 TL

150-gram lavash: 10 TL

150-gram minced meat pita dough: 10 TL

The increased price tariff will be valid starting from Saturday, January 27.
