Bread prices in Denizli increased by 20 percent
Bread prices in Denizli have increased by 20 percent due to rising costs. The price of a 200-gram loaf of bread has risen from 12.5 TL to 15 TL.
The Denizli Bakers Chamber has readjusted bread prices, citing increases in flour and energy costs. With this adjustment, the price of a 200-gram loaf of bread has been raised from 12.5 TL to 15 TL.
The increased prices will be effective in the Denizli city center starting September 1. However, in some districts, this increase has already begun to be applied as of today.
Officials from the Bakers Chamber stated that the cost increases made the price hike necessary in order to ensure the sustainability of producers and to maintain market balance.
