Trump stated, "I am pleased to report that the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran have held very good and productive discussions over the past two days regarding the complete and definitive end of hostilities in the Middle East. Based on the course and tone of these in-depth, detailed, and constructive discussions, which will continue throughout the week, I have made a decision. In this context, I have instructed the Department of Defense to postpone any military attack on power plants and energy infrastructure in Iran for a period of 5 days, provided that it remains contingent upon the success of the ongoing meetings and discussions."
