Brent crude rises, diesel price hike on the horizon

Brent crude rises, diesel price hike on the horizon

Recent fluctuations in the global oil market and the rise in exchange rates continue to be directly reflected in fuel prices in Turkey. Following the price of a barrel of Brent crude exceeding the 110-dollar threshold, reports of a new hike in diesel prices have begun to circulate in industry circles.

According to information provided by industry representatives, a price hike of 1 lira 74 kuruş per liter of diesel is expected as of tonight. Journalist Olcay Aydilek also announced on his X account that the hike will go into effect at midnight tonight.

This increase in fuel items is expected to reflect on costs in various sectors, particularly from public transportation to logistics.

The prices of fuel products per liter in major cities, primarily Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, are as follows:

On the European side of Istanbul, gasoline is sold at 65.02 TL, diesel at 67.48 TL, and LPG at 33.89 TL. On the Anatolian side, gasoline is at 64.86 TL, diesel at 67.32 TL, and LPG is at the 33.29 TL level. In the capital Ankara, gasoline is on the shelves at 65.99 TL, diesel at 68.59 TL, and LPG at 33.87 TL. In Izmir, gasoline meets the consumer at 66.27 TL, diesel at 68.86 TL, and LPG at 33.69 TL.
