Bulgarian and Greek tourists to celebrate New Year's in Edirne after doing their Christmas shopping
Bulgarian and Greek tourists, who did their Christmas shopping in Edirne, will also welcome the New Year in the city.

Tourists who came to Edirne for Christmas, which is celebrated like a holiday by a large part of the Christian world, have created a bustle in the city.
Tourists are doing their Christmas shopping at the bazaars, markets, and shopping centers in the city.
Many tourists, who will also welcome the New Year in Edirne, made their reservations at hotels and entertainment venues days in advance.

Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sezai Irmak said that there is a New Year's bustle in the city.
Stating that tourists coming from neighboring countries contribute to the city's economy, Irmak said, "The interest of tourists in Edirne continues with an increasing momentum during the New Year. We are very happy about this."
Irmak stated that businesses in the city have completed the necessary preparations before the New Year.
Explaining that Edirne tradesmen always provide the best service and are preferred, Irmak noted the following:
"Many groups are coming to Edirne from Greece and Bulgaria. They have booked their places in our hotels. They celebrate Christmas on December 24th, and the number of those who want to welcome the New Year in the same way is quite high. Having a high number of foreign tourists in addition to domestic tourists is beneficial for us. The occupancy rate in hotels is approaching 100 percent, and restaurants are full. They are leaving a significant amount of foreign currency in Edirne."
"Tourists prefer to enter the new year in Edirne"
Tourism Hotel Managers Association Edirne Representative Can Pekbaş said that tourists who prefer Edirne for the New Year have increased the occupancy rates in hotels.

Expressing that they expect a prosperous period of activity in the city, Pekbaş said, "As every year, there is demand for the New Year from neighboring countries Bulgaria and Greece. We have made preparations to host our guests. We will do our best to ensure they enter the new year in a beautiful way. We have a certain level of demand for the New Year. Tourists prefer to enter the new year in Edirne. Edirne tradesmen have also made good preparations for shopping."
