CBRT decision on ParaQR: Operating license revoked
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has revoked ParaQR's operating license as an electronic money institution, effective April 27, 2026, according to a communiqué published in the Official Gazette.
According to the communiqué published in the Official Gazette, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has revoked the operating license of ParaQR Elektronik Para ve Ödeme Hizmetleri A.Ş. as an electronic money institution.
In its decision, the CBRT stated that the authorization previously granted to the company has been withdrawn and that the action was carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation.
It was stated that the revocation in question was made in line with the relevant provisions of Law No. 6493 on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions.
With the decision dated April 27, 2026, the company's operating license has officially ended.
