The maximum ticket price that can be applied for domestic flights in Turkey has been increased. With the ceiling fee raised from 6,100 Turkish Liras to 6,990 Turkish Liras, cost pressure in the airline industry has returned to the agenda. In particular, the sharp rise in aircraft fuel prices is being directly reflected in ticket fares.

The fact that the price per ton of aircraft fuel has risen from 800 dollars to 1,600 dollars has caused a significant increase in the expenses of airline companies. Evaluating the issue, Habertürk columnist Güntay Şimşek stated in his remarks to BloombergHT, "If an airline ticket is around 100 dollars, with this increase in aircraft fuel, an increase of approximately 30 percent occurs in the ticket price."
