Millions of retirees are waiting for news of a raise after President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pointed to January.

Journalist Cem Küçük made a statement regarding the pension raise during his live broadcast.

Küçük indicated that with the planning he has done, this time there will be a raise of over 50% for pensions, including an increase to the base salary plus inflation adjustment and a performance share. Küçük said, "3,750 TL will be added on top of 7,500 TL, and it will become 11,250 TL."

Sharing on his social media account, Küçük said the following:

"The eyes of retirees, who were disappointed by the 25% raise in July, have turned to the raise to be made in the new year. The base salary will be increased, thus the lowest pension of 7,500 TL will also be raised. With the inflation difference and the welfare share added, the raise for retirees could reach 50%."
