Central Bank announces year-end dollar and inflation forecasts!
The Central Bank has shared the results of its Market Participants Survey for November. According to the results, the year-end inflation forecast rose from 68.01 percent to 67.23 percent, while the dollar forecast fell from 30.05 to 30.00.
The Central Bank has published its "November 2023 Market Participants Survey," conducted with 69 participants consisting of representatives from the real sector, financial sector, and professionals. Accordingly, the year-end inflation forecast fell to 67.23 percent, and the dollar forecast declined to 30.00 TL.
INFLATION EXPECTATION
The current year-end consumer inflation (CPI) expectation, which was 68.01 percent in the previous survey period, became 67.23 percent in this survey period. The 12-month ahead CPI expectation fell from 45.28 percent in the previous survey period to 43.94 percent.
DOLLAR EXPECTATION
The year-end dollar expectation, which was 30.05 TL in the previous survey period, declined to 30.00 TL in this survey period. The 12-month ahead dollar expectation rose from 38.64 TL to 39.62 TL.
GROWTH EXPECTATION
The GDP growth expectation for 2023 remained stable at 4.1. The GDP growth expectation for 2024 fell from 3.4 percent to 3.3 percent.
