Central Bank reserves rise by 44.1 billion dollars to 142.5 billion dollars
CBRT reserves have increased by 44.1 billion dollars since the end of May, reaching an all-time high of 142.5 billion dollars
The Weekly Money and Bank Statistics have been published by the CBRT.
Accordingly, as of December 15, the Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves rose by 890 million dollars to 95 billion 399 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at 94 billion 509 million dollars on December 8.
During the same period, gold reserves also increased by 265 million dollars, rising from 46 billion 864 million dollars to 47 billion 129 million dollars.
Thus, the Central Bank's total reserves reached an all-time high of 142 billion 528 million dollars in the week of December 15, an increase of 1 billion 154 million dollars compared to the previous week, when they stood at 141 billion 374 million dollars.
The increase in total reserves from the end of May to the week ending December 15 amounted to 44 billion 70 million dollars, corresponding to an increase of 44.8 percent.
