China reacts to US sanctions on Russia, which include a Turkish company: 'Bullying'
The US has decided to impose sanctions on numerous companies worldwide on the grounds that they supply technological products to the Russian defense industry. A Turkish company is also on the list.
The US Department of Commerce has decided to impose export restrictions on a large number of companies, including one from Turkey, on the grounds that they provide support to Russia's military industry.
Reuters reports that in addition to 42 Chinese companies, export controls will be applied to a total of seven companies from Finland, Germany, India, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
"WE LEARNED AND WE ACTED"
The sale of US-origin integrated circuits to the companies on the list will be restricted. US Department of Commerce official Matthew Axelrod said in a statement yesterday that they were sending a clear message with this decision, stating that they have learned who is supplying US-origin technology to the Russian defense sector and have taken action.
China described the US decision as "economic coercion and unilateral bullying".
