CHP Kayseri Deputy Aşkın Genç stated that the minimum wage should be at least 20 thousand liras.
The minimum wage, which will be valid for the entire new year, will be announced this week. While no statement has yet come from the employer or worker sides, the view that the wage will not be kept very high is being voiced.
Holding a press conference in Parliament, CHP Kayseri Deputy Aşkın Genç also addressed the new year's minimum wage on his agenda.
CHP's Genç noted that minimum wage negotiations will be concluded this week, adding that it appears the wage will be increased from 11,401 liras to 15-16 thousand liras.
The CHP deputy said, "The minimum wage should be at least 20 thousand liras."
