The Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agriculture-PPI) increased by 50.47 percent annually and decreased by 0.95 percent monthly.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Agricultural Products Producer Price Index for November. In Agriculture-PPI, there was a 0.95 percent decrease compared to the previous month, a 43.56 percent increase compared to December of the previous year, a 50.47 percent increase compared to the same month of the previous year, and a 77.98 percent increase according to the twelve-month averages in November 2023.

By sector, compared to the previous month, there was a 0.72 percent decrease in agriculture and hunting products and related services, a 1.18 percent decrease in forestry products and related services, and a 10 percent decrease in fish and other fishing products. In the main groups, compared to the previous month, there was a 0.49 percent decrease in annual crops, a 6.79 percent decrease in perennial crops, and a 2.92 percent increase in live animals and animal products.

The subgroups with the lowest annual increases were cereals (except rice), legumes, and oil seeds with 22.78 percent, and fibrous plants with 26.57 percent, respectively. Conversely, the subgroups with the highest annual increases were oil fruits with 176.00 percent and grapes with 141.58 percent, respectively. The only subgroup that showed a decrease compared to the same month of the previous year was citrus fruits with 27.59 percent.

Compared to monthly Agriculture-PPI, 3 subgroups showed lower and 11 subgroups showed higher change

The subgroups with the highest monthly decreases were tropical and subtropical fruits with 17.92 percent and paddy rice with 3.05 percent. The subgroups with the highest monthly increases were oil fruits with 11.32 percent, and pome fruits and stone fruits with 4.35 percent.

In November 2023, out of the 90 items covered in the index, the average price of 40 items decreased, while the average price of 46 items increased.
